Review of The Fighter (2009) by Daniel D — 16 Oct 2009
If you think this movie mimicks a Jean-Claude-Van-Damn flick, then you are wrong. Rarely do you ever see a movie that intertwines the passion of martial arts and the sacredness of the Muslim culture. And the beauty of it is that it works.
It is stylish, dramatic, somewhat compelling, and at times humorous. The fight scenes are well choregraphed and the cinematography is visually appealling. It flows well, is easy to follow, and is believable.
It's quite a treat to watch.
