Review of The Favourite (2018) by Jgzeger — 26 Jan 2019
While there are a lot of things to like about this movie (the performances, the costumes, the sets), the story line is not one of them. Neither is the background music which at times I found quite annoying.
Altogether the film tries to be too clever by half and in the end falls flat on its face and just becomes tedious. I ended up wishing I had made a different choice for my film fare.
