The wardrobe and set design are excellent. The cinematography is not too shabby either. Emma Stone is a much better actress than I had given her credit for. None of these factors, however, can escape from the fact that this, in essence, pretentious gruff with a side of sneer.
Absurdist can be good, but very rarely, and not here. Apparently there were lesbian scenes but they were edited out for by my country's censor... Good, I’m tired of gratuitous pointless sex.
