Review of The Falling (2015) by Paula P — 02 Jan 2016
The Falling is generally a well acted affair, especially for Williams and Pugh. Why the director decided to turn this fascinating premise into a plodding, pointless and unnecessarily disturbing tale is beyond me.
Past the well crafted first scene or two, Morley loses herself entirely, failing to fully capitalize on either the horror or the psychological thriller aspect of the story as she forces the stars to retread themselves again and again.
I saw that one reviewer called this feminist film-making. If that is the case, I don't want any part of it. The Falling is a muddled waste of a movie.
