I love this movie...deeply.
The story flits along like a butterfly in a rain of arrows, both beautiful and fragile while maintaining constant juxtaposition and the occasional disturbing flash of deep darkness.
Starring Lee "that one guy from Pushing Daisies" Pace and a brilliant newcomer, the adorable Catinca Untaru...both actors turn in captivating performances.
Although not everyone will enjoy the story (it maintains a careful balance between heady and over simplistic, after watching you may agree), I feel as though anyone watching will come away with a distinct appreciation for the beautiful cinematography.
The color, lighting, and composition of nearly every frame is a treasure that will be hung in the gallery of your mind.
A visit to The Fall is well worth the time.
