Review of The Fall (2006) by Nick R — 30 Jul 2017
A visually pleasing movie, if anything at all. The story within the movie is rather weak and struggles much like an adult attempting to remember an old bedtime story. The over-arching story is reminiscent of its competitor, Pan's Labyrinth.
Story and script aside, Tarsem creates a vivid surrealist world using very real locations and sets. You will find little to no computer generated effects throughout the film as the entire film was shot across at least a dozen countries in some of the most visually captivating settings. These are reason enough to give the movie a once-through.
