Even if it isn't as scary as the first film, its still better. Jason Miller's surprise return was great. Brad Dourif's acting couldn't be better, and George C. Scott fit into his role perfectly.
Scott should've been in the first film. The Nurse scene was good but not my favorite. The murder scenes are graphic and the atmosphere of this film is very still towards the end. The Gemini is the most horrific character in any horror film ive ever seen.
A bit different than the novel, but I think the movie is better for a change.
