My rating is not based on the film in general, it is a rating chosen by comparison to other horror films. basically I gave it 4 stars not because its an amazing movie (b/c it really isnt) but because compared to other scary movies it is definitely one of the best.

its very refreshing to see a good scary movie that has meaning and makes you think as apposed to a gory stupid teen flick. and this is, by far, MUCH better than the 1973 exorcist movie which was silly and unrealistic.
