Having the main focus of the film being the priest's trial instead of the actual exorcist was an interesting gamble. Did it pay off? Not really. The acting, while being good is not enough to make the movie interesting during the whole two hours and the actual "horror" scenes aren't very scary and offer nothing new.
While not being a bad movie, The Exorcism of Emily Rose is still not worth your time.
