Review of The Entity (1982) by Stuart B — 17 May 2008
Never seen this before, so set the Sky+ in order to tick off another horror movie. Wow, it's an incredibly sleazy Exorcist rip-off in which a woman is repeatedly sexually assaulted by an invisible bogey man.
Barbara Hershey gives a committed performance but ugh! Contrary to opinions expressed below this is NOT scary in the slightest, it's just repulsive. Good FX work though. Oh yeah and this is a "true story" in the same way that Amityville is a true story, i.
E. not. Apparently there is a remake in the works to be directed by Hideo Nakata, which is just another sign of the coming apocalypse.
