Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Greg W — 12 Dec 2015
I went into this film knowing nothing about David Foster Wallace or Infinite Jest. Surprisingly, I found myself immediately intrigued by the subject. This is an intimate, dialogue heavy experience between a Rolling Stone reporter (Jesse Eisenberg) and the author (Jason Segel).
Obviously, a film like this has to be anchored by good acting and there is no disappointment here. Both of them work great off each other and I found myself heavily invested in the deep conversations that were being presented.
This is a very well-made and insightful character study.
