Reviewed 7.29.17. If you crave action, or even a traditional story line, this ain't your bag. But if you enjoy a quality character study, David Foster Wallace is a worthy subject. The fact that he became famous is seemingly irrelevant, except to provide additional angles for observing the human condition.
If he'd never written a word, his recorded conversations and this resulting movie would be equally entertaining. It speaks to what ails the modern human spirit. For the misunderstood artist , or the lost & lonely out there, you'll find a friend.
