Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Nick D — 28 Dec 2015
This movie is one that really leaves you thinking. It's a simple story of the ups and downs of friendships told in a unique way. It's dialogue heavy but it is so well written and performed that you never lose interest.
The film is essentially a series of conversations that show character growth in an effective way. Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg both did a great job in this movie, more noticeably Segel, for which it may be even a career best.
It's a movie that while it seems like not much is happening, it manages to leave a profound effect on you by the time the credits roll around. Nothing feels sappy, everything is authentic, and that really is the best kind of drama.
