Review of The End of the Affair (1999) by Richard S — 12 Jan 2008
OK, I admit the reason I first saw this film is I heard about the hot sex scene and Ralph's naked ass (WOW). I found it to be thought-provoking, lush and devastating. Then I read the Graham Greene novel upon which it was based, which is even more brilliant.
The art direction is gorgeous and it's a movie that really stays with you. Muted passion and religious devotion come together in a really surprising way. One of my favorites!
