Review of The End of the Affair (1999) by Clarke D — 09 Mar 2015
This is an amazing film. Beautifully romantic and passionate, the affair in question is sad and sublime, and captured with remarkable candor. I wasn't prepared for the depth of drama evoked without pretense as this psychological study unfolds like a tone poem.
To appreciate this film you'll need at least half a brain, a sense of humankind, and a heart. If you have those, watch this, and be enchanted.
