Review of The End of the Affair (1999) by Philippe O — 25 Sep 2010
Pieces of the story seemed rushed and others missing; the flaws are evident (not to mention the ridiculous 'twist' ending predicted a few minutes in). Still, there is something entirely compelling about the actors and the relationship between their characters.
It feels honest in a way few dramas do and ends up being inexplicably touching. One of Moore's most solid performances.
