Took a while to get going but once it did, it really began to spread it's wings. Both leads John Hurt & Anthony Hopkins are utterly fantastic! The make up for Hurt (aka Elephant Man) is such an achievement.
There was a lot to draw out of this film but to me one of the things that stood out, was that Hopkins was able to really help Hurt with self worth and identity. Not just being nice and helping him out, he helped Hurt find his true self and indentity. Truly a masterpiece, a far more main-stream piece of cinema for director David Lynch but still relevant and powerful...
