Review of The Element of Crime (1984) by Ben W — 20 Sep 2009
An interesting provocation by an early von trier. things are very loosely strung together in a noir film shot through some kind of sodium filter. makes for interesting visuals especially the blues and reds that pierce through at times.
its a rumination on the nature of attempting to understand evil and how going down that road often leads one to become the thing that they seek.
