Review of The Education of Charlie Banks (2007) by Simon W — 07 Jul 2009
It's time to take Fred Durst seriously. Limp Bizkit were an epic fail, but "The Education of Charlie Banks" is proof that maybe Fred Durst should have been making movies rather than rapping on stage.
This film is very raw and feels very real to the viewer. Jason Ritter plays his character just right. Displaying a great deal of charm and ease, but rapidly changing to troubled and dangerous. Jesse Eisenberg plays his character almost exactly like he plays his character in "Adventureland.
" However, it works quite well for "Charlie Banks." Chris Marquette truly did a nice job in his role, which was similar to his part in the film "Alpha Dog." "The Education of Charlie Banks" is a real and raw film that will make you think.
It may not change your life or impact the film industry, but it definitely is worth seeing.
