Review of The East (2013) by Brandon V — 05 Jul 2013
As an indictment of environmental abuse, "The East" buckles under the pressure of its own high-tempered sensationalism, but as an swift action thriller is where the film really shines. It's disjointed and rather anticlimactic, but as a simple, innocuous, hyperboreal indie romp, you could do much worse in looking for a couple hours of solid engagement.
