Review of The East (2013) by Esteban G — 14 Sep 2013

The best part of this was a song by The National in the soundtrack. I guess I didn't really feel bored throughout the entire movie, but I never felt all that interested either. None of the performances grabbed me, the characters didn't feel built up enough to be memorable, the plot had interesting concepts but it just kind of meandered throughout the course of the movie, etc.

I didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either. It definitely doesn't have a strong foundation that would justify repeat viewings.
