Review of The East (2013) by Hector B — 02 Dec 2013
Incredibly interesting. This movie's worth seeing just for the fact that it explores so many ideas that other movies won't, and Ellen Page's character is intense. This movie exposes the idea that if corporations commit terrorism (like poisoning people, murder, destroying the environment) then it's seen as "Business as usual" while people who fight back are considered "terrorists".
Corporate terrorists getting their own human abuses thrown back in their face is pretty nice to see. And for me, personally, I never thought any of the members of The East went "too far" in hurting the corporate heads, because those people did 1000x worse to thousands of people and knew it.
