Review of The Eagle Has Landed (1976) by David T — 30 May 2008
I recently saw this film and was quite dissapointed. The idea of kidnapping Churchill was preposterous as my spelling. The character of the American General played by Larry Hagman was noting more than a carboard cut-out, and I wonder if the whole thing was supposed to be played for laughs.
Molly (Jenny Augiter) falling in love with Liam (Donald Sutherland) at first site was again laughable. If you want to see a WWII drama, stay with Alister McLean.
