Review of The Dunwich Horror (1970) by Al M — 04 Aug 2010
The Dunwich Horror is a rather loose adaptation of the Lovecraft classic from Roger Corman's production studio. The sublime horror of Lovecraft's masterpiece of short fiction is mostly absent from this flim, but in its place we get a trippy, surrealistic piece of B-movie horror that is fun and bizarre from beginning to end.
If you enjoy Corman's Poe flim or Hammer Studios films, then you are likely to find The Dunwich Horror to be a delighful if somewhat silly adaptation of Lovecraft.
