Review of The DUFF (2015) by Tricia M — 11 Aug 2015
That was so lovely and cute. Typical? Sure - but more realistic, more human than most other teen-movies. Whitman and Amell have ridiculous chemistry (and, goddamnit, so many soft spots - neighbours! Childhood friends!), and okay, yeah, maybe it's a little too fairytale (although come on, it's a teen rom-com), and maybe it's a little cliched and maybe, just maybe I should be thinking about why a romance is needed .
.. but come on; The DUFF brings a refreshing message with a competent cast, and some brilliant design choices. (That credits scene! The soundtrack!).
