It's kind of like the typical high school movies, but it's so much better! It's way better made, way better delivered, and just overall way better! Mae Whitman is basically always good, but she kills it in here, and I love that she got to star in this one! I love Robbie Amell, and he was great in this, and probably the second best part of the movie! Bella Thorne gives a really good performance as an unlikable bitch! Allison Janney was fine, and gave a good enough performance, as expected, but it wasn't completely necessary, felt a little out of place, and a little forced. Maybe if there had been less, even though there was already barely any of her, it would have been better! Ken Jeong was also barely in the movie, as the typical "friend teacher", and he was fine. Not necessarily a bad performance or character, but I could take it or leave it. This actually has a lot in common with The Edge of Seventeen, another really good movie, and one of my favorites! It's like, this is the comedy version, and that's is the drama version! This is really well directed, and written, but the combination of the two is what really works, and makes this whole movie work! (Aside from the performances!) Maybe this is so good because it's based on a book? But I love this movie, I own it, and I definitely could re-watch it plenty of times!

(The cast and director, and that kind of information, isn't present for this movie, and hasn't been for a while, maybe even since it came out, which is weird, and unusual, right?!).

Just re-watched this 2/14/18, at night, fell asleep, finished it 2/15/18, in the morning, (I think I've only seen it the one time that I saw it in theatres) because I wanted to, and because When We First Met was so bad, and overall really very disappointing! (I wanted to make sure that I still liked this as much as I thought that I did, and that Ari Sandel was still a good director/directed this really well, and to see if it was still disappointing how bad his direction was for When We First Met, and just how bad that movie was overall in general!
