Review of The Duellists (1977) by Grant H — 29 Nov 2007
There are few words to describe this minor masterpiece. Though not about fencing per se, it is the consummate fencing movie to date. Based on Joeseph Conrad's excellent short story, this film is beautifully shot and the dramatic tension between the two adversaries is fantastic.
Worth every second of viewing time, and leaves you breathless at the end.
