Review of The Duellists (1977) by Matt M — 31 Jan 2013
Back in the mid seventies Ridley Scott shot a simple period drama about a pair of Napoleon army men who are never able to finish their duel and too pig headed to drop the affair. A period black comedy on the childishness of the concept on the outdated idea of gallantry, the accents are off putting and the script shaky, but it still comes across as gracious and even entertaining.
