Review of The Dressmaker (2015) by Tom H — 02 Feb 2017
This is an otre' story set in a part of Australia where failed trailerpark trash go to live. It evolves slowly, but you are never bored. The writer keeps you amused and the director fills the screen with subtle surprises.
Just when you think the movie is wrapping up a happy ending, things go horrible, and then you eventually get to an amusing finale. It is full of human nature, self discovery, and the kind of fear and loathing many tiny towns sustain due to everybody knowing everybody's dark secrets.
