Review of The Dressmaker (2015) by Lewis T — 21 Oct 2016
I mess from beginning to end. Nothing happens during the first hour. Then it goes downhill from there. Some of the key plot elements are so far-fetched, it's laughable. The only high points: 1) Judy Davis as the "decrepit" mother and Hugo Weaving as the police sergeant.
I left the theater wishing I had used the time to do a little self-acupuncture.
