I wanted to see this film for a long time, since it was a film that was nominated and won so many awards back in 1991/1992 and of course for director Krzysztof Kiewloski. The Double Life of Véronique might be his best work, but I could not be sure, since I need to watch his Three Colors trilogy.

This was not a film that one can understand so easily and it also did not fit into any genre, but it was more a film to be experience as a beautiful work of art.The music score was just amazing. The scenes were not that interesting if it was not for the power of the music and for Kieslowski using beautiful colors to create a magnificent atmosphere which helped so much in creating the scenes.

The music and Irène Jacob performance were the most outstanding pieces of the film. Unfortunately Kieslowski passed away in 1996 so we could not get more of such beautiful art works as this one and his Color trilogy.
