Review of The Dirty Dozen (1967) by Matthew B — 06 Jan 2013
A U.S. Army Major (Lee Marvin) is assigned by his fellow officers to train a dozen prisoners serving life sentences, so he can lead them into a dangerous mission in Nazi occupied France in this captivating WWII drama.
Robert Aldrich's The Dirty Dozen is a highly entertaining feature with a fascinating, original story about prisoners trying to redeem themselves by serving for their country and a terrific all-star cast that includes Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, John Cassavetes, George Kennedy, and Donald Sutherland.
