I think the reality show "Big Brother" has been inspired by this (real) story, not to the novel "1984".
What can I say of Anne Frank?
I visited her rooftop in 1994, at the time I felt nothing, I was more concerned not to hit any of the fellow visitors of this House Museum. Now I know why Amsterdam is the Paradise of the Cannabis Smokers. They need it in order to forget the horror of an Holocaust.
