Review of The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) by Kim B — 16 Oct 2012
How she should be remembered, an honest and very accurate portrayal of a couple of Jewish families sent into hiding in WWII. The best and worst in humanity. Disgusting that this happened n how it affected young ppl.
The worst thing I think is how it made people act out of character. Such an inspirational story and very relatable for any teenage girl. I loved that it was shot at the house n the music was good. For a long n old movie I found it interesting n well acted.
Some very tense parts, but there strength always carried them through n annes youthful outlook helped. Of course book is better bc it's more in depth but I can't really knock this portrayal. Not the best holocaust movie I've ever seen but more personal n nonetheless historically important.
