Review of The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) by David L — 02 Aug 2015
With amazing character development, some incredible imagery at display with superb cinematography, excellent direction from George Stevens, fantastic acting across the board and a story filled with moving scenes, wonderful message and evident realism, The Diary of Anne Frank also has some of the finest quotes ever in film history, very inspirational and smart approach, beautiful ending, always engaging story, deft pacing despite its long running time and many scenes that can bring a smile to your face.
This is one of the best films ever made that deals with this subject matter and one of the finest movies from the fifties. An absolute masterpiece.
