Throughout, I kept asking myself 'Why isn't this a better film?'. The story is certainly a winner and should have been the basis for an awesome movie. Sadly 'The Devil's Double' doesn't capitalise on the material and is a shallow disappointment.
The direction, acting and screenplay all fail to bring the characters to life - thus I never really felt Latif's distress at having to serve Uday under duress. Likewise, Uday's evil acts never had the power to shock or disgust (on screen) as they should have.
Overall, a wasted opportunity.
