Review of The Devil's Arithmetic (1999) by Lemon F — 22 Apr 2008
Bought it because it had Kirsten Dunst in it. Didn't realise it was a TV movie... not too bad though. Follows a 'bad' teenage Jewish girl (in a Disney 'bad' sense - ie she doesn't respect Jewish customs and wants to get a tattoo) who gets sent back in time to Nazi Germany for no apparent reason. There she gets sent to a concentration camp, makes friends with her aunt and saves her life by getting herself sent to the gas chamber in her place.
Bit tame really but made for ok Sunday afternoon viewing.
