Showtime adaptation of the young adult's award winning book. The history lesson and characters are aimed toward educating a young audience about the horrors of the Holocaust and even more why they should care to learn about it, but it remains terrifying even though less graphic than most films in the genre.
It also demonstrates many Jewish traditions including a wedding and Seder (Passover) meal. Dunst and Murphy provide strong performances.
