An incredible film. Excellently shot and staged throughout, this clearly proves that Hammer weren't exploitational campery. Christopher Lee appearing as a good guy is one of the elements that make the film, and some fantastic scenes (the giant tarantula, the devil and the angel of death) make this a classic Gothic Horror.
One of my favourites.
