The masterpiece of Martin Scorsese's career, The Departed is a well-scripted and brilliantly acted film displaying the many levels of the Boston underground. Scorsese's Mafia storytelling reaches an entirely new dimension - every twist and turn is well-executed, riddled with subtle examples of irony and a hidden morality.
The Departed doesn't hold back and takes each character to its limit, satisfying the audience again and again. This is a movie you'll watch over and over, each time feeling like it's the first time, each time discovering new reasons to be amazed.
