Review of The Defiant Ones (1958) by Jonathan B — 01 Sep 2008
Each actor here turned in what could be their best performance, which is really saying something when you consider the films that Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier have done. The great and underappreciated Stanley Kramer did just a good of a job directing this tense and dramatic film that served as a great metaphor for racial relations and understanding without ever hitting you over the head with a message.
