Review of The Deer Hunter (1978) by Alberto B — 27 May 2012
Years after seeing it for the first time, this sprawling 3 hour epic is still a moving, emotionally riveting account of the sacrifices made by a few good men who ended up lost amidst the chaos of the Vietnam war both there and back at home.
It's a heartbreaking film but also one of the most hauntingly beautiful ever made.
