I'm extremely late to the party, even considering I was born well after the film was released. Regardless, "The Deer Hunter" was quite the party indeed. Engrossing atmosphere, powerhouse acting by everyone, and a sharp climax that you might see coming but will still somehow sideswipe you.
I don't think I've seen Walken this good either.
