Review of The Deep (1977) by Francis M — 29 Dec 2011
Painfully boring. Pretty standard story, couple stumbles upon a cache of treasure/drugs which belongs to the mob. The acting is mediocre. Nolte phones it in, and Bisset is particularly bad. She's clearly just here to flash some skin and look vulnerable.
Even the usually great Robert Shaw just can't deliver. The underwater scenes are pretty good. Particularly the obligatory shark scene, which is certainly good fun, and quite innovative. That's really the only scene in the movie however which is worth much.
