Based on a popular book from the 1970's this film was likely given the greenlight because of the success of "Jaws" in 1975. Unfortunately, the adventure is a long, dull excursion.
Jaqueline Bissett and Nick Nolte play a scuba diving couple who uncover a rae coin. They seek a specialist, played by Robert Shaw (He was even in "Jaws"!). Immediately they become targets from treasure seekers.
The underwater scenes are beautiful, but they drag on and on, and the scenes on land aren't any better.
