Review of The Deaths of Ian Stone (2008) by The Big R — 30 Jun 2008
With all the hype as being one of the 'better' - choices to see in the '8 Films to Die For' series of 2007, I was expecting more, but still appreciate the idea...The acting started good, but ended sub-par with expected dialogue & outcomes.
..The baddies were pretty cool, but as time progressed and they had more screen-time, I actually thought they would have stayed freakier in the darkness...Also, the fighting scenes were pretty horrible (that, as well Ian's 'altered state' definitely took me back to the days of 'Pumpkinhead' & 'Ghoulies' movies, but again, that's not a bad thing - I just thought overall with the way the baddies were really cool & then how cheesy it got towards the end that it could have been something more.
..If this was the best that 'Horrorfest 2007' had, I'm not really anticipating the others...ON THE OTHER HAND, I AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME FINDING A PLACE THAT HAS THE MOVIE 'FRONTIER(S)'.
..IF ANYONE KNOWS OF WHAT MAJOR CHAIN HAS IT, LET ME KNOW...I HEARD ONLY GREAT THINGS ABOUT THAT ONE...PEACE!
