Review of The Deaths of Ian Stone (2008) by Luke B — 14 Jun 2008
A slight horror twist on Groundhog Day before becoming more like Open Your Eyes and finally descending into Matrix/Underworld immitation. Plenty of ideas and mythology is juggled around in this rather entertaining yarn but at around 88 minutes there's a lot happening and being rushed.
Apart from pacing though eveything seems to be in order with fine performances, tight PVC, gore, action and nice effects both computer generated and physical. Highly enjoyable, very interesting if a tad uneven.
