Review of The Deaths of Ian Stone (2008) by Richard L — 29 Sep 2012
The first half of this movie is promising, with a guy who keeps dying and coming back in a different life with echoes of the lives that came before. The movie abruptly disrails at about the half way mark with a slightly disappointing explanation for what is going on followed by a sudden deficit in acting ability the more black and red leather people start wearing.
The creatures are well-done until the effects too suddenly take a nose-dive in a horrible scene that seemed to come from a completely different movie. And then the movie ends promising again, albeit it after becoming a comic book movie.
Wow. What a neck-snapping experience in quality and plotting.
