Review of The Death of Superman (2019) by Marco G — 12 Sep 2018
So many movie adaptations fail to capture Superman from the comics, the soft soul and defender of justice. They often depict him as some brute with a million powers, which is what he can be and our worst dear of him but a part of him that comes out only to defend and protect. He's our hope for the best in all of us. Which is why his death is so dismantling. It's not just his death but the death of hope and goodness. That's fully on display in this film.
If only DC could master this in the cinematic universe...
