A really bleak tale, which really isn't very funny, despite the comedy tag. It's obvious from the title that there isn't going to be a happy ending, but that doesn't make the finale any less dismal.
Unfortunately based on a true story, the movie follows the protracted and absurd attempts to get medical attention for an ailing Mr Lazarescu. Still, at least it proves that Romanian cinema has a lot of life in it.
